Message of the Month – May
Rex’s death has been a sad blow to all involved in PfS. The many messages posted in tribute to him have been heartening for all who knew him.
In his input to the conference he described this as an ‘exciting and challenging time for PfS’. Our responsibility now is to take action to meet those challenges with the same enthusiasm and passion that Rex always demonstrated. A priority for RHA now is to do everything in our power to secure the future for PfS centres and your place in study support while at the same time recognising that there may need to be a shift in the focus of that work as we seek to meet government priorities. We are already in discussion with DfE on your behalf.
In the meantime, we suggest that you take ‘Positive Action’ as proposed by Michael Hepple at the recent PfS National Conference. Follow Russell Tanner’s advice from the conference and lobby at a local level and also use the MDA site to share your ideas and actions.
We will all strive to do everything we can to carry on Rex’s great work so that more young people can benefit from his vision.
