You may be interested in applying for a Grassroots Grant. Grassroots Grants has funded thousands of projects, including for example, sports for the disabled, arts for older people and activities for young people.

Applying for Grassroots Grants is quick, easy and help is available. You can apply for funding until March 2011. If your group ticks all the boxes, then you could apply for a Grassroots Grant of £250 – £5000. Click here for more information.

On Saturday 8 May the Cobblers Study Centre welcomed a group of young people and staff from The Albion Foundation to Sixfields. The pupils enjoyed a tour of the stadium, a practical football session and were able to watch the last game of the season from the West stand. This September will see the introduction of an exciting new programme at the Bath REC to compliment their existing daytime provision. ‘Tackling the Future – Foundation Learning’ has been developed to meet the needs of KS4 learners who require something different. Click here for more information.

For the first time in QPR FC’s history a young volunteer was awarded the highly coveted Community Award at the annual QPR Player of the Year Awards evening. Omar Salih was awarded the prize in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the local community through his involvement in QPR’s Study Support Centre programe. The latest Playing for Success award evening at Preston North End was held on the 30 March to celebrate the achievements of PfS pupils over 10 weeks in the spring term. Click here for more information.

Preston North End FC, formerly Playing for Success Preston and North End Learning and Community Centre has changed its name to ‘The Study Lab’ @ Preston North End FC. The Launch of the new centre will be on Friday 2 July.
